Summary

Nissan North America is recalling 26,432 vehicles, including certain 2025 Altima and Sentra models, 2025-2026 Frontier pickup trucks, and 2026 Kicks SUVs. The door strikers on these vehicles may have been improperly welded, which can cause them to break. If this happens, a door could swing open while the vehicle is in motion, creating a serious safety hazard. Dealers will replace the affected door strikers at no cost to the owners.

Risk

The door strikers may break during operation, allowing a vehicle door to open unexpectedly while the car is moving. This increases the risk of a crash or injury to occupants who may be ejected from the vehicle or struck by the opening door.
