Summary

Hyundai Translead is recalling approximately 562 of its 2022-2024 CGN3-20/40 and CGNS-20/40 12-Pin extended chassis models. These vehicles have cross braces located above the chassis air tanks that may have been improperly welded during manufacturing. If the welds fail, the braces can detach from the vehicle or damage air lines, and Hyundai Translead will provide free repairs including new welds and brackets through authorized repair shops.

Risk

An improperly welded cross brace can detach and fall into the road, creating a hazard for other drivers. Additionally, a falling brace can strike and damage the air tank lines, which may cause the vehicle's brakes to lock up unexpectedly, increasing the risk of a crash. Owners are advised not to drive these vehicles until the repair has been performed.
