Summary

Alamo Group Inc. is recalling 128 Morbark trailers, including models EB1821, EB2131, EB2230, and M20 from the 2018-2024 model years. The electrical wires inside the power distribution module can become loose and touch a metal plate, which can cause electrical sparking and arcing. Owners should contact a Morbark dealer to have the wiring properly secured at no cost.

Risk

The loose electrical wires can create electrical arcing against the distribution module plate, which significantly increases the risk of a vehicle fire.

What You Should Do

  1. Identify if you own a Morbark trailer model EB1821, EB2131, EB2230, or M20 manufactured between 2018 and 2024.
  2. Contact Morbark customer service at 1-800-255-8839 to schedule a free repair with an authorized dealer.
  3. At the service appointment, a dealer will properly secure the electrical wires in the Power Distribution Module to prevent them from contacting the plate.
  4. For additional questions or to check your specific VIN, contact the NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153) or visit www.nhtsa.gov.
