Summary

Kia America, Inc. is recalling 34 of its 2022 Sorento Plug-In Hybrid (PHEV) vehicles because the fuel tank may have been improperly molded during manufacturing. This defect can lead to a fuel leak, which creates a significant safety hazard. Dealers will inspect the fuel tank and replace it if necessary at no cost to the owner. Affected owners were notified by mail starting March 22, 2023.

Risk

  2. Contact a local Kia dealership to schedule a free inspection of your vehicle's fuel tank.
