Summary

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling approximately 250 of its 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles due to a manufacturing defect in the steering system. An improperly machined steering knuckle may separate from the ball joint, which can cause the vehicle's wheel to fall outward and lead to a total loss of steering control. Owners will be provided with a free replacement of the steering knuckle by authorized dealers to resolve this safety issue.

Risk

If the steering knuckle separates from the ball joint while driving, the wheel can tilt outward, causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle and significantly increasing the risk of a crash.
