Summary

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling 1,808 vehicles, including certain 2023 Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger, and Dodge Challenger models. The parking brakes on these vehicles may have been improperly adjusted during manufacturing, which can prevent the system from holding the car in place. This defect fails to meet federal safety standards and dealers will perform a free adjustment to correct the issue.

Risk

If the parking brake is not correctly adjusted, the vehicle may roll away unexpectedly when parked. This movement increases the risk of a crash or injury to bystanders or occupants.

What You Should Do

  1. Check your vehicle registration or VIN to see if you own a 2023 Chrysler 300, 2023 Dodge Charger, or 2023 Dodge Challenger.
  2. Contact any authorized Chrysler or Dodge dealership to schedule a free appointment to have your parking brake inspected and properly adjusted.
  3. When contacting the dealer or manufacturer, refer to Chrysler's internal recall number 01B.
  4. If you have additional questions, contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403.
  5. For further assistance or to report safety concerns, contact the NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153) or visit www.nhtsa.gov.
