Summary

Keystone RV Company is recalling approximately 9,678 travel trailers, including 2021-2023 Alpine and Avalanche models and 2020-2023 Fuzion and Impact models. The foot pads on the hydraulic leveling legs can become loose and completely detach from the vehicle while it is in motion. Owners can have their mounting bolts inspected and reinstalled with a thread-locking adhesive at no cost through authorized dealers.

Risk

If a foot pad separates from the trailer while driving, it becomes a significant road hazard for other vehicles, which increases the likelihood of a traffic crash.

What You Should Do

  1. Identify if your travel trailer is affected by checking the model and year: 2021-2023 Alpine, 2021-2023 Avalanche, 2020-2023 Fuzion, or 2020-2023 Impact.
  2. Locate the hydraulic leveling legs on your vehicle and visually inspect the foot pads to see if they appear loose or if mounting bolts are visible.
  3. Contact Keystone customer service at 1-866-425-4369 to schedule a free inspection and repair; reference recall number 22-437.
  4. Bring your vehicle to an authorized dealer who will inspect the mounting bolt and reinstall it using a thread-locking adhesive to prevent future separation.
  5. For further information or to report concerns, contact the NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153) or visit www.nhtsa.gov.
