Summary

Hong Bin Foods LLC is recalling Enoki Mushrooms (Product of Korea) after testing by the State of Michigan found the presence of Listeria monocytogenes. The recalled mushrooms are sold in 7.05 oz (200 g) clear film packages with a green bottom portion and orange lettering. Consumers should not consume these mushrooms and should return them to the store where they were purchased for a full refund.

Risk

The mushrooms may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, a bacterium that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Listeria infection can also cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.
