Summary

Nova Bus (US) Inc. is recalling 7 of its 2022-2023 LFS battery electric transit buses. A coolant line within the high-voltage battery pack may not have been properly seated or locked during manufacturing, which can lead to coolant leaks and a subsequent electrical short circuit. This defect can cause the high-voltage battery to fail or result in a fire, posing a danger to passengers and operators. Nova Bus will coordinate with the battery manufacturer, Akasol, to inspect and replace the battery packs as necessary at no cost to owners.
