Summary

Volvo Car USA is recalling approximately 7,483 plug-in hybrid vehicles, including the 2020-2021 S90, 2020-2022 S60, V60, XC60, XC90, and the 2022 V90. The high-voltage batteries in these vehicles can experience a short circuit when they are fully charged and the vehicle is parked. This defect increases the risk of a vehicle fire, though no incidents have been reported in this notice. Volvo dealers will provide a free software update to monitor the battery and will replace affected battery modules at no cost to owners.

Risk
