Summary

BMW of North America is recalling 14,086 electric vehicles, including certain 2022-2023 iX, i4, and 2023 i7 models. The software in the high voltage battery electronic control unit (ECU) may cause a sudden interruption of electrical power while driving. Authorized BMW dealers will update the vehicle software to resolve this issue at no cost to the owner.
