Summary

Porsche Cars North America, Inc. is recalling 193 of its 2020-2023 Taycan electric vehicles because the high-voltage battery can experience an internal short circuit. This defect can lead to a fire within the battery module, posing a significant safety risk to occupants and nearby structures. Even if your vehicle was previously repaired under older recalls (23V-840, 24V-215, or 24V-217), it must be brought in again for this new remedy, which involves a free replacement of the affected battery modules by a dealer.
