Summary

Bombardier Recreational Products (BRP) is recalling approximately 10,969 of its 2019-2023 Can-Am Ryker motorcycles. An internal part within the high-pressure fuel pump, known as the impeller, can swell and cause the fuel pump to fail. Owners are advised to contact an authorized Can-Am dealer to have the fuel pump inspected and replaced free of charge.

Risk

A failure of the high-pressure fuel pump can cause the motorcycle's engine to stall suddenly while driving. This loss of power increases the risk of a crash.

What You Should Do

  1. Identify if your vehicle is affected by checking if it is a 2019-2023 Can-Am Ryker motorcycle.
  2. Contact an authorized Can-Am dealer to schedule a free inspection and replacement of the high-pressure fuel pump.
  3. If you have questions, contact Bombardier Recreational Products (BRP) customer service at 1-888-272-9222 and mention recall bulletin 2023-10.
  4. For additional information, you can contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153) or visit www.nhtsa.gov.
