Summary

Chrysler is recalling approximately 45,832 vehicles, including 2021-2023 Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator models and 2022-2023 Ram 1500 trucks equipped with 3.0L diesel engines. The high-pressure fuel pump in these vehicles can fail, which may lead to an unexpected engine stall while driving. Dealers will replace the fuel pump and any other damaged fuel system components for free to ensure the vehicle remains safe to operate.

Risk

A failure of the high-pressure fuel pump can cause the engine to suddenly stop running or stall. This loss of power while the vehicle is in motion significantly increases the risk of a crash.

What You Should Do

  1. Identify if your vehicle is affected: This recall specifically impacts 2021-2023 Jeep Wrangler, 2021-2023 Jeep Gladiator, and 2022-2023 Ram 1500 vehicles equipped with the 3.0L diesel engine.
  2. Contact an authorized Chrysler, Jeep, or Ram dealer to schedule a free appointment to have the high-pressure fuel pump (HPFP) replaced and other fuel system components inspected and replaced as necessary.
