Summary

HealthPostures has recalled about 100 IntimateRider chairs and RiderMate benches because the stitching on the black cloth covers can loosen and fail. This defect can cause the user to fall unexpectedly. One person has already reported falling and suffering an ankle injury due to this issue. These products were sold at various specialty retailers and medical websites between September and November 2017.

Risk

The stitching that holds the cloth cover to the frame can break during use, causing the fabric to give way. This poses a significant fall and injury hazard, particularly for users with mobility disabilities who rely on the equipment for stable support.

What You Should Do

  1. Immediately stop using the recalled IntimateRider chair and RiderMate bench.
  2. Identify your product by checking the white label located on the steel frame for part numbers P/N 7100 (chair) or P/N 7150 (bench).
