Summary

Volvo Car USA, LLC is recalling 2,061 of its 2025 EX90 vehicles due to a software error in the low power controller (LPC). This error can cause the headlight shutters to close while the vehicle is being driven, unexpectedly blocking both the high and low beam lights. To address this safety risk, Volvo will provide a manual software update for the controller free of charge.

Risk

If the headlight shutters close while driving, the headlights will be blocked, which significantly reduces visibility for the driver and increases the risk of a crash.
