Summary

Summit Bodyworks is recalling 12 of its 2019-2022 Ford Transit 350 vehicles that were built with Cummins Onan QG 2800i or Onan QG 2800i EVAP generator sets. A fuel hose connecting the fuel filter to the Injection Pump Module (IPM) may not be properly secured, which can lead to gasoline leaking from the generator system. Owners can have the generator fuel hose and clamps inspected and replaced by Cummins at no cost.

Risk

The loose fuel hose can allow gasoline to leak; if this fuel comes into contact with an ignition source, it can cause a fire.

What You Should Do

  1. Identify if your vehicle is a 2019-2022 Ford Transit 350 modified by Summit Bodyworks and equipped with a Cummins Onan QG 2800i or Onan QG 2800i EVAP generator set.
  2. Contact Summit Bodyworks customer service at 1-303-348-2681 to confirm if your specific vehicle is included in this recall. Refer to recall number PG5215.
  3. Schedule a free repair with Cummins, who will inspect the fuel hose and clamps and replace them as necessary to ensure the fuel system is properly secured.
  4. For additional information or questions, contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153) or visit www.nhtsa.gov.
