Summary

Jayco, Inc. is recalling approximately 1,124 recreational vehicles including 2021-2024 Ethos, Expanse, Solstice, and Swift Class B models. These vehicles are equipped with Cummins Onan QG 2800i or Onan QG 2800i EVAP generator sets that may have an improperly secured fuel hose. A fuel hose between the inline fuel filter and the Injection Pump Module (IPM) may leak gasoline due to inadequate clamp force, which can lead to a fire in the presence of an ignition source. Dealers will inspect and replace the fuel hose and clamp as needed at no cost to the owner.

Risk

The clamp holding the generator's fuel hose may not be tight enough, allowing gasoline to leak out. If leaking fuel comes into contact with a spark, hot engine component, or other ignition source, it can cause a vehicle fire.

What You Should Do

  1. Check if your vehicle is a 2021-2024 Jayco Ethos, Expanse, Solstice, or Swift Class B recreational vehicle equipped with a Cummins Onan QG 2800i or Onan QG 2800i EVAP generator.
  2. Contact an authorized Jayco dealer to schedule a free inspection and, if necessary, a replacement of the generator's fuel hose and clamp.
  3. For further assistance or to find a local dealer, contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-283-8267 and mention manufacturer recall number Cummins 23E-030.
