Summary

Winnebago Industries is recalling approximately 6,536 motorhomes, specifically certain 2020-2023 Travato, 2021-2023 Solis, and 2022-2023 Ekko models. These vehicles are equipped with Cummins Onan QG 2800i or Onan QG 2800i EVAP generator sets where the fuel hose between the fuel filter and the Injection Pump Module (IPM) may not be properly secured. This loose connection can lead to a gas leak, which creates a significant safety hazard. To resolve this issue, dealers will inspect and replace the fuel hose and clamps as necessary at no cost to owners.

Risk

A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source, such as heat from the generator or engine, significantly increases the risk of a fire.

What You Should Do

  1. Identify if your vehicle is affected by checking your model and year: 2020-2023 Winnebago Travato, 2021-2023 Winnebago Solis, or 2022-2023 Winnebago Ekko motorhomes.
  2. Check if your motorhome is equipped with a Cummins Onan QG 2800i or Onan QG 2800i EVAP generator set.
  3. Contact an authorized Winnebago dealer to schedule a free inspection and repair of the generator fuel hose and clamps.
  4. If you have questions, contact Winnebago customer service at 1-641-585-6939 or 1-800-537-1885.
  5. For further assistance or to check your VIN, contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153) or visit www.nhtsa.gov.
