Summary

Thor Motor Coach is recalling approximately 2,919 motorhomes because the fuel hose on certain Cummins Onan QG 2800i generator sets may leak gasoline. This recall includes 2021-2024 Rize, Scope, and Tellaro models, 2021-2023 Sequence models, and 2023-2024 Dazzle and Twist models. The fuel hose located between the fuel filter and the injection pump module may not be clamped tightly enough, allowing fuel to escape. Dealers will inspect the hose and clamps and replace them as necessary at no cost to the owner.

Risk

A gasoline leak in the presence of an ignition source significantly increases the risk of a vehicle fire, which could lead to serious injury or death.

What You Should Do

  1. Check your vehicle's make, model, and year to see if it is among the affected units: 2021-2023 Sequence, 2021-2024 Rize, Scope, or Tellaro, or 2023-2024 Dazzle or Twist.
  2. Identify if your motorhome is equipped with a Cummins Onan QG 2800i generator set.
  3. Contact Thor Motor Coach (TMC) customer service at 1-877-855-2867 to verify if your vehicle is part of recall RC000294.
  4. Schedule a service appointment with an authorized dealer to have the generator fuel hose and clamps inspected and replaced for free.
  5. For further assistance, contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153) or visit www.nhtsa.gov.
