Summary

Sportsmobile Texas, Inc. is recalling 13 recreational vans, including 2021 Dodge Sportsmobile Pro Master and 2021-2022 Ford Sportsmobile Transit models. These vehicles are equipped with Cummins Onan QG 2800i or Onan QG 2800i EVAP generator sets where a fuel hose may not be properly secured between the inline fuel filter and the Injection Pump Module (IPM). This defect can cause a gasoline leak, which poses a serious fire hazard to occupants and the vehicle. Dealers will inspect and replace the fuel hose and clamps as necessary at no cost to the owner.

Risk

The improperly secured fuel hose can allow gasoline to leak; if this leaking fuel encounters an ignition source, it can cause a fire.

What You Should Do

  1. Identify if your vehicle is affected by checking if it is a 2021 Dodge Sportsmobile Pro Master or a 2021-2022 Ford Sportsmobile Transit van equipped with a Cummins Onan QG 2800i or Onan QG 2800i EVAP generator set.
  2. Contact Sportsmobile Texas, Inc. customer service at 1-512-835-4409 to schedule a free inspection and repair.
  3. Take your vehicle to an authorized dealer who will inspect the fuel hose and clamps between the inline fuel filter and the Injection Pump Module (IPM) and replace them as necessary, free of charge.
  4. For additional questions or to check your VIN, contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153) or visit www.nhtsa.gov.
