Summary

Gazelle USA is recalling about 320 Urban Arrow FamilyNext Pro Cargo E-Bikes because the Fidlock buckle on the child bench can fail to fully latch. This defect can leave children in the cargo area unsecured, posing a risk of injury. The recalled electric cargo bikes were sold in green and black at individual specialty stores from March 2025 through December 2025 for approximately $9,000.

Risk

The buckle on the cargo area bench can fail to click into place properly, which could allow a child to fall or be thrown from the seat during operation. The firm has received three reports of buckles failing to latch, though no injuries have been reported.

What You Should Do

  1. Immediately stop using the recalled cargo e-bikes for transporting children until the repair is completed.
  2. Check your bike for the 'Urban Arrow' imprint on the bottom of the foam cargo box to confirm it is a FamilyNext Pro model.
  3. Inspect the buckle on the cargo bench and compare it to the recall images to identify if it is the affected Fidlock buckle design.
  4. Contact Gazelle USA at 800-838-5388 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, email service.na@urbanarrow.com, or visit https://urbanarrow.com/en-na/recall to arrange for a free repair of the bench assembly.
  5. Bring the e-bike to an authorized dealership to have the replacement buckle installed free of charge.
  6. Call the CPSC Hotline at 800-638-2772 for additional questions regarding this recall.

Your Remedy Options

🔧Free Repair

Consumers should immediately stop using the e-bikes and contact Gazelle USA to arrange for a free repair of the bench assembly in the cargo area of the e-bike. The repair will include a replacement buckle and will be done at a dealership location.
