Summary

Fujifilm is recalling about 270,000 power adapter wall plugs sold with several digital camera models, including the XP90, XP95, XP120, XP125, X-A3, and X-A10. These black AC-5VF wall plugs can crack or break apart while plugged into an outlet, potentially leaving live electrical parts exposed. No injuries have been reported, but consumers should stop using the wall plug immediately and contact Fujifilm for a free replacement.

Risk

The wall plug component can detach or break while still in the electrical outlet, exposing live electrical contacts and posing a serious risk of electric shock to anyone who touches it.

What You Should Do

  1. Immediately stop using the recalled black power adapter wall plugs (model AC-5VF) to charge your camera from a wall outlet.
  2. Identify if your camera is affected by checking the model number on the front of the camera (models include XP90, XP95, XP120, XP125, X-A3, or X-A10) and the adapter model 'AC-5VF' printed on the back of the power adapter.
  3. Locate your camera's serial number on the bottom of the device or inside the battery compartment lid, and verify it at http://fujifilmusa.com/support/recall/index.html.
  4. Contact Fujifilm toll-free at 833-613-1200 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. ET Monday through Friday, or email productsafety@fujifilm.com to receive a free replacement wall plug.
  5. You may safely continue to charge your camera by connecting the USB cable directly to a computer while waiting for your replacement part.
  6. Call the CPSC Hotline at 800-638-2772 for any additional questions regarding this recall.

Your Remedy Options

📋Replace

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled power adapter wall plugs and contact Fujifilm for a free replacement. Consumers can continue to charge the camera using the USB cable attached to a computer.
