Summary

Navistar, Inc. is recalling 1,086 of its 2025 International HX and International LT vehicles equipped with Cummins X15 diesel engines. The fuel pump barrels in these vehicles can crack and leak fuel, which may cause the engine to stall suddenly while driving. To address this safety hazard, Navistar and the engine manufacturer, Cummins, will replace the fuel pump barrels at no cost to owners.

Risk

A fuel pump failure can cause the engine to stall unexpectedly, which prevents the vehicle from maintaining speed and increases the risk of a crash.

What You Should Do

  1. Check your vehicle's make, model, and engine to see if you are driving a 2025 International HX or International LT equipped with a Cummins X15 diesel engine.
  2. Contact Navistar Customer Service at 331-332-1590 or Cummins Customer Service at 812-377-5000 and reference recall number C7083 to schedule a free replacement of the fuel pump barrels.
  3. Watch for a formal owner notification letter, which Navistar expects to mail out by November 22, 2024.
  4. For additional information, you can contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153) or visit www.nhtsa.gov.
