Summary

Isuzu is recalling 11,385 vehicles including certain 2022-2026 Isuzu FVR and FTR models, 2022-2026 Chevrolet 6500XD models, and 2023-2026 Chevrolet 7500XD models. The fuel heater in these trucks can overheat, causing the casing to melt and allowing fuel to leak into the electrical connector. To fix this, dealers will inspect and replace the fuel heater and electrical connectors as necessary, free of charge.

Risk

A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a vehicle fire. The defect specifically involves the melting of the fuel heater casing, which creates a direct path for fuel to reach electrical components.
