Summary

PACCAR Incorporated is recalling 871 trucks, including 2023-2024 Kenworth T280, T380, T480 and Peterbilt 536, 537, and 548 models. The Stage 2 fuel filter hoses on these vehicles may have been damaged during production, which can lead to the hoses leaking or disconnecting entirely. To resolve this issue, dealers will replace both fuel filter hoses free of charge.

Risk

If a fuel hose disconnects, the engine will suddenly stall, which significantly increases the risk of a crash. Additionally, if fuel leaks near an ignition source, it creates a high risk of a fire.

What You Should Do

  1. Check if your vehicle is one of the affected models: 2023-2024 Kenworth T280, T380, T480, or Peterbilt 536, 537, and 548.
  2. Contact an authorized Kenworth or Peterbilt dealer to schedule a free replacement of both Stage 2 fuel filter hoses.
  3. If you own a Kenworth truck, you can contact Kenworth customer service at 1-425-828-5888 and reference recall number 23KWF.
  4. If you own a Peterbilt truck, contact Peterbilt customer service at 1-940-591-4220 and reference recall number 23PBF.
