Summary

Cummins, Inc. is recalling approximately 1,135 L9 Diesel Engines (part number D563027BX03) because the Stage 2 fuel filter hoses may have been damaged during the production process. This damage can cause the hoses to leak fuel or disconnect entirely while the engine is running. Dealers will replace both affected fuel filter hoses with new ones free of charge.

Risk

If a fuel hose disconnects, the engine will suddenly stall, which increases the risk of a crash. Additionally, any fuel leaking from a damaged hose can catch fire if it comes into contact with an ignition source.
