Summary

Terex Advance Mixer, Inc. is recalling 29 of its 2024 Commander vehicles equipped with Meritor MX-23-810 axles because the front axle may have been manufactured with an incorrect thrust bearing. This component defect can cause the axle shaft to break while the vehicle is in motion, potentially leading to a total loss of vehicle control. Terex will provide inspection instructions and will replace affected axles free of charge.

Risk

If the axle shaft breaks, the driver may lose control of the vehicle, which significantly increases the risk of a crash.
