Summary

Fischer Sports is recalling about 1,460 Fischer RC4 Junior Ski Boots (models 50, 60, and 65) because the boot's upper cuff can rotate unexpectedly. This rotation can cause the locking mechanism to malfunction, which may lead to a fall and risk of injury. The boots were sold in Rhino Grey, Snow, and Yellow colors between October 2022 and February 2024. There has been one report of a boot cuff rotating, though no injuries have occurred. Fischer Sports is offering consumers a refund, a free replacement, or a free repair.

Risk

The ski boot cuff can rotate while in use, which causes the locking mechanism to fail. This defect creates an unstable boot that poses a fall hazard and risk of injury to the skier. One incident of cuff rotation has been reported.
