REV Recreation Group: Motorhomes Recalled for Exterior Patio Outlet Lacking GFCI Protection

Summary

REV Recreation Group is recalling approximately 598 motorhomes, including 2019-2025 Holiday Rambler Admiral, 2023-2025 Holiday Rambler Eclipse, 2023-2025 Fleetwood Flex, and 2019-2024 Fleetwood Flair models. The exterior patio electrical outlet on these vehicles may lack Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) protection when the vehicle is powered by its generator or a shore power cord. Dealers will install a GFCI protection device before the inverter transfer switch at no cost to owners.

Risk

An electrical outlet without GFCI protection may fail to automatically shut off power if a ground-fault occurs. This significantly increases the risk of electrical shock or injury to anyone using the exterior outlet, especially in damp outdoor environments.

What You Should Do

  1. Confirm if your motorhome is affected by checking your vehicle's make, model, and year against the following list: 2019-2025 Holiday Rambler Admiral, 2023-2025 Holiday Rambler Eclipse, 2023-2025 Fleetwood Flex, or 2019-2024 Fleetwood Flair.
  2. Locate your vehicle identification number (VIN) and contact REV Recreation Group customer service at 1-800-509-3417 to verify if your specific unit is part of recall number 240812REV.
  3. Schedule a free appointment with an authorized dealer to have a GFCI protection device installed prior to the inverter transfer switch.
  4. Avoid using the exterior patio outlet while the motorhome is powered by the generator or a shore cord until the safety repair has been completed.
  5. For additional questions or to report safety concerns, contact the NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153) or visit www.nhtsa.gov.
