Summary

Ford Motor Company is recalling approximately 90,736 vehicles, including certain 2021-2022 Bronco, F-150, Edge, Explorer, Lincoln Nautilus, and Lincoln Aviator models equipped with 2.7L or 3.0L Nano EcoBoost engines. The engine intake valves in these vehicles may break while driving, which can lead to sudden engine failure and a total loss of drive power. To address this issue, dealers will perform an engine cycle test and replace the entire engine if necessary at no cost to owners.

Risk

If an intake valve breaks, the engine can fail suddenly while the vehicle is in motion, causing a loss of drive power that significantly increases the risk of a crash.
