Summary

Jaguar Land Rover North America is recalling 150 of its 2021-2024 F-Pace vehicles due to a defect where the oil filter housing can crack. This flaw can cause oil to leak directly into the engine compartment, which may lead to a fire if the oil hits hot engine or exhaust parts. To fix this issue, dealers will replace the filter housing, oil filter, and o-rings at no cost to the owner.

Risk

A cracked housing allows oil to leak onto extremely hot engine components or the exhaust system. If this leaking oil reaches an ignition source, it can cause a fire in the engine compartment while the vehicle is being operated.

What You Should Do

  1. Check if your vehicle is a 2021-2024 Jaguar F-Pace affected by recall H506.
  2. Contact an authorized Jaguar dealer to schedule a free repair; the dealer will replace the oil filter housing, the oil filter itself, and the associated o-rings.
  3. If you have already received a notification letter (mailed around June 27, 2024), have it ready when contacting the dealer to expedite the process.
  4. For more information, contact Jaguar customer service at 1-800-452-4827 and mention recall number H506.
