Summary

Jaguar Land Rover North America is recalling 229 of its 2023 Jaguar F-Pace vehicles because a blocked oil channel in the engine cam carrier may cause an oil leak. This defect can lead to oil leaking onto hot engine components, which creates a serious safety hazard. Dealers will inspect and replace the engine cam carrier and related components for free to resolve the issue.

Risk

Leaked oil in the presence of an ignition source, such as a hot engine or exhaust component, significantly increases the risk of a vehicle fire.

What You Should Do

  1. Identify if you own a 2023 Jaguar F-Pace vehicle by checking your vehicle registration or the VIN plate on the driver's side dashboard.
  2. Contact an authorized Jaguar dealer to schedule a free inspection and replacement of the engine cam carrier and associated components.
  3. If you have already received an owner notification letter (mailed around March 29, 2023), follow the instructions provided to arrange your repair.
  4. For more information or to check your specific VIN, contact Jaguar customer service at 1-800-452-4827 and mention recall number H426.
