Summary

Mack Trucks, Inc. is recalling 46 Bendix EC80 Advanced Electronic Control Units (ECU) with part numbers K190048 and K163499. Electrical noise or low signal interference can cause these units to process commands incorrectly or stop working entirely. Dealers will reprogram the ECU software free of charge to correct the defect.

A malfunction in the ECU can cause the loss of critical safety systems, including the Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Stability Control, and Collision Mitigation System. This failure significantly increases the risk of a crash.
