Summary

Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling approximately 121 vehicles, including certain 2023-2024 Honda Accord, Accord Hybrid, Civic, Pilot, and 2024 HR-V and Acura Integra models. The driver's seat cushion frame may not have been tightened properly during assembly, which could result in an unsecured seat. Authorized dealers will replace the driver's seat cushion frame free of charge to ensure compliance with federal safety standards.

Risk

An unsecured driver's seat may not adequately restrain the driver during a crash, which significantly increases the risk of injury because the seat may move or fail to remain in its intended position.

What You Should Do

  1. Check your vehicle's VIN to see if it is among the 121 affected units. You can do this by visiting www.nhtsa.gov/recalls or calling the Honda/Acura customer service line.
  2. Contact an authorized Honda or Acura dealer to schedule a service appointment for the repair. Mention NHTSA recall number 24V859.
  3. Bring your vehicle to the dealer to have the driver's seat cushion frame replaced. As stated in the remedy: 'Dealers will replace the driver's seat cushion frame, free of charge.'
  4. If you have additional questions, contact Honda customer service at 1-888-234-2138 or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153).
