Dennis Eagle Inc.: 2020-2023 ProView Vehicles Recalled for Short Seat Belts

Summary

Dennis Eagle Inc. is recalling approximately 286 ProView vehicles from the 2020-2023 model years. The driver's seat belt stalk is too short, making it difficult for the driver to buckle the seat belt, especially when wearing gloves. If the seat belt is hard to use, drivers may choose not to wear it or may face delays exiting the vehicle during an emergency. Owners can have the seat belt stalk replaced with a longer version by a dealer at no cost.

Risk

A seat belt that is difficult to buckle may discourage use, significantly increasing the risk of serious injury during a crash. Additionally, a belt that is difficult to unlatch can prevent a driver from quickly escaping the vehicle in an emergency situation.

What You Should Do

  1. Check if your vehicle is a 2020-2023 Dennis Eagle ProView model affected by this recall.
  2. Contact a Dennis Eagle dealer to schedule a free appointment to have your driver's seat belt stalk replaced with a longer, easier-to-use version.
  3. If you have questions, contact Dennis Eagle customer service at 1-813-440-8136 and reference recall number CP017.
