Summary

Chrysler is recalling approximately 532 Ram trucks from the 2021 and 2022 model years, including the 1500, 2500, 3500, 4500, and 5500 series. A defect in the steering column control module may prevent the driver's side air bag from deploying during a crash. To fix this safety issue, Chrysler dealers will replace the control module at no cost to owners.

Risk

If the driver's air bag fails to deploy as intended during a collision, it significantly increases the risk of serious injury. This defect causes the vehicles to fail federal safety requirements for occupant protection.
