TriMark Corporation is recalling approximately 1,080 door latches (part numbers 19233-01 and 19232-01) installed on Spartan Fire vehicles. The actuator lever arm inside the cab door latch can bind or become wedged, which may prevent the door from being opened from either side. TriMark is working with Spartan Fire to provide free replacements for all affected door latches.
If a door cannot be opened, occupants may become trapped inside the vehicle during an emergency or after a crash, significantly increasing the risk of injury.
