Summary

Toyota is recalling approximately 11,890 model year 2024 Sequoia Hybrid, Tundra, and Tundra Hybrid vehicles because the passenger-side front and rear tires may have damage to the inner sidewalls. This defect can lead to a sudden loss of tire pressure, which may cause a driver to lose control of the vehicle. Owners should take their vehicle to a Toyota dealer to have the tires inspected and, if damage is found, replaced at no cost.

Risk

The damaged tire sidewalls can suddenly fail and lose air pressure, which can lead to a loss of vehicle control and increases the risk of a crash.

What You Should Do

  1. Identify if you own an affected 2024 Toyota Sequoia Hybrid, Tundra, or Tundra Hybrid vehicle.
  2. Contact an authorized Toyota dealer to schedule a free inspection of your passenger-side front and rear tires.
  3. If the dealer identifies sidewall damage during the inspection, they will replace the affected tires with new ones free of charge.
  4. For more information, contact Toyota customer service at 1-800-331-4331 and mention recall number 24TA12.
  5. Call the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153) or visit www.nhtsa.gov for additional details.
