Daikin, Amana, and Goodman Heat Pumps Recalled for Excessive Heat Exposure Risk

What You Should Do

1. This recall affects Daikin FIT, Amana Brand S-series, and Goodman SD heat pumps, which are beige units with the brand and model name printed on the outside of the cabinet.
2. To determine if your unit is affected, locate the model number on the serial plate found on the side of the unit.
3. See the Affected Products section below for the full list of affected codes.
4. For systems connected to WiFi, Daikin Comfort Technologies (DCT) is performing a remote software update automatically to fix the issue; no consumer action is required for these units.
5. If your system is not connected to WiFi, register for the recall at http://www.goodmanmfg.com/fit-recall to receive instructions on how to manually perform the required software update.
