Grand Design RV, LLC: 2022 Imagine, Reflection, Momentum, Solitude, and Transcend Trailers Recalled

Summary

Grand Design RV is recalling approximately 30,435 of its 2022 Imagine, Reflection, Momentum, Solitude, and Transcend travel trailers because the quick disconnect fittings in the LP gas system may be cracked. These cracks can cause gas to leak from the system, posing a significant safety hazard. This recall also supersedes a previous recall, 22V308, meaning even vehicles previously addressed may need a new inspection. Owners will receive a free inspection and replacement of the gas fittings by authorized dealers.

Risk

A gas leak in the presence of an ignition source can lead to a fire. While no injuries have been reported, the potential for a gas leak creates a high-risk situation for occupants and the vehicle.

What You Should Do

  1. Identify if your travel trailer is affected by checking the model (2022 Imagine, Reflection, Momentum, Solitude, or Transcend) and the manufacturer's recall number, which is 910045.
  2. Contact an authorized Grand Design RV dealer to schedule a free inspection and, if necessary, a replacement of the LP gas quick disconnect fittings.
  3. You may contact Grand Design customer service directly at 1-574-825-9679 for more information or to find a dealer near you.
  4. For additional questions or to check your VIN, contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153) or visit www.nhtsa.gov.
