Summary

Ford Motor Company is recalling approximately 694,271 vehicles, including 2021-2024 Ford Bronco Sport and 2020-2022 Ford Escape models equipped with 1.5L engines. The fuel injectors in these vehicles may crack, allowing fuel to leak and accumulate inside the engine compartment. Ford dealers will provide a free software update and, once parts are available in July 2026, will replace the high-pressure fuel rail and fuel injectors at no cost to the owner.

If fuel leaks near hot engine or exhaust components, it can ignite and cause a fire, increasing the risk of injury to occupants or bystanders.
