Summary

Crysteel Manufacturing Inc. is recalling 59 of its 2021-2023 dump body vehicles built on Isuzu NRR-Series chassis that are equipped with a Warn Winch and a wireless handheld remote. Water can leak into the remote control, causing the internal circuit board to corrode and potentially triggering the winch to operate on its own. Owners will be provided with instructions to inspect their remotes and can receive a free water-resistant replacement once parts become available.

Risk

If the winch operates unintentionally due to circuit board corrosion, it can move unexpected loads or cables, which significantly increases the risk of serious injury to the operator or bystanders.

  3. Disable the wireless function of the remote immediately by removing the battery pack.
