Summary

A Harvest Company is recalling about 720 Cork Stacker block sets because small pieces of cork can break off from the blocks. There have been seven reports of cork pieces breaking off, including two instances where children placed the broken pieces in their mouths. The toys were sold as part of the January 2014 Stork Stack subscription box through StorkStack.com. Consumers should stop using these blocks immediately and dispose of them, as the company is no longer in business to provide a refund or replacement.

Risk

The cork blocks can break apart into small pieces during play. These small pieces pose a serious choking hazard if a young child swallows or inhales them.

What You Should Do

  1. Immediately stop using the three-piece Cork Stacker block sets and keep them away from children.
  2. Check your toy collection for three square cork blocks in varying sizes: 2 7/8 inches, 2 3/8 inches, and 2 inches square, all measuring 1 1/2 inches tall.
  3. Identify the affected products by looking for black dots printed on the top of the blocks and packaging labeled '6mo+' for children six months and older.
  4. Dispose of the recalled cork blocks in your household trash, as the manufacturer is no longer in business and cannot offer a remedy.
  5. Contact the CPSC Hotline at 800-638-2772 if you have additional questions regarding this safety recall.
