Summary

Prevost Car (US) Inc. is recalling 37 vehicles, including the 2010 H3-45 VIP and 2024 H3-45 and X3-45 models, because the coolant heaters can malfunction. These heaters may generate excessive exhaust gas or overheat, which can lead to hazardous conditions inside and around the vehicle. Prevost will inspect the heaters, replace damaged components, clean internal parts, and adjust the air-to-fuel ratio free of charge to resolve the issue.

Risk

The malfunctioning heaters can produce excessive exhaust, increasing the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning for occupants. Additionally, if the heater overheats, it poses a fire risk which could require an emergency evacuation in dangerous traffic conditions.

What You Should Do

  1. Immediately stop operating the coolant heaters in your vehicle if you own a 2010 H3-45 VIP, 2024 H3-45, or 2024 X3-45.
