Summary

Forest River is recalling 12 motorhomes, including 2022-2023 Coachmen Galleria, 2023 Coachmen Beyond, and 2023 Nova models. These vehicles are equipped with SDS2 2-Burner Drop-in Cooktops (part numbers 3031AST and 3032AST) where internal burner tubes may fracture. This defect can lead to a gas leak inside the vehicle, posing a significant fire hazard. Authorized dealers will install a regulator support bracket to resolve the issue at no cost to owners.

Risk

The internal aluminum burner tubes that connect to the gas valves can crack or fracture, allowing gas to escape. If this leaking gas encounters an ignition source, it can cause a fire.

What You Should Do

  1. Identify if your motorhome is affected by checking the model and year: 2022-2023 Coachmen Galleria, 2023 Coachmen Beyond, or 2023 Nova.
  2. Verify if your vehicle is equipped with an SDS2 2-Burner Drop-in Cooktop featuring part number 3031AST or 3032AST.
  3. Contact Forest River Customer Service at 1-574-825-6307 to discuss the recall (reference Forest River recall number 225-1601).
  4. Schedule a free appointment with an authorized dealer to have a regulator support bracket installed.
  5. For additional information, contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153) or visit www.safercar.gov.
