Summary

Meyle AG is recalling approximately 355 control arms with part numbers 416 050 0005/S and 416 050 0005. These components were manufactured with a defect that can cause them to fail during use. If a control arm fails, it can result in a sudden loss of vehicle steering and control. A service repair shop will replace the affected control arms and the subframe at no cost to the owner.

Risk

A manufacturing defect in the control arm can lead to mechanical failure while driving. This results in a sudden loss of steering ability, which significantly increases the risk of a vehicle crash and potential injuries.
