Summary

Forest River Bus, LLC is recalling 31 transit buses, including certain 2021-2022 Starcraft Allstar XL, 2022-2023 Allstar XLT, and 2022 Glaval Concorde II models. The exterior air conditioning compressor on these vehicles may come into contact with the optional sway bar, which can cause the compressor mount to fail. This failure can lead to a sudden loss of engine power or steering control. Dealers will inspect vehicles for the optional sway bar and install a new compressor mount for free if needed.

Risk

If the air conditioning compressor hits the sway bar, the mounting hardware can break, potentially causing a loss of power or steering control while the vehicle is in motion. This significantly increases the risk of a crash.

What You Should Do

  1. Identify if your vehicle is one of the affected models: 2021-2022 Starcraft Allstar XL, 2022-2023 Allstar XLT, or 2022 Glaval Concorde II transit buses.
  2. Check your records or contact a Forest River Bus dealer to determine if your vehicle was equipped with the optional stabilizer/sway bar.
  3. Contact Forest River Bus Customer Service at 1-800-348-7440 to schedule a free inspection and, if necessary, the installation of a new compressor mount (Refer to recall number 05-1695).
