ILJIN Hysolus is recalling 3,584 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) fuel tanks because the pressure relief device on the tanks may fail to vent properly. If the pressure relief device does not fully vent, internal pressure can build up and cause the fuel tank to rupture. ILJIN Hysolus will provide a full refund of the purchase price for all affected tanks.
A ruptured fuel tank can cause a sudden release of pressure and flammable gas, significantly increasing the risk of fire and serious physical injury to anyone near the vehicle.
