Summary

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling 105 Mopar side curtain air bags with part numbers 68224526AJ and 68224527AH. These air bags may have improperly sealed seams that prevent them from maintaining enough pressure during a crash. Dealers will replace installed air bags free of charge, or repurchase the units if they have not yet been installed in a vehicle.

Risk

The improperly sealed seams can cause the air bags to lose pressure too quickly during a collision. This increases the risk that an occupant could be ejected from the vehicle or suffer serious injuries during a crash.

What You Should Do

  1. Check your records or the air bag packaging for Mopar part numbers 68224526AJ or 68224527AH.

  3. If the air bag has not been installed, contact Chrysler customer service at 800-853-1403 to arrange for the company to repurchase the part from you.
  4. For more information, you may reference Chrysler recall number 07D.
